The Consul replied in a letter, copy of which is enclosed, dated the 14th ultimo claiming extra-territoriality for the Don Juan, and I attach a copy of the answer which I caused to be addressed to him.
In accordance with the suggestion contained in the latter letter, the Consul had an interview with the Acting Attorney General on the 20th ultimo, and with the Attorney General on the 23rd ultimo, both of whom explained to him that his contention that a Spanish vessel...
